Returns Policy

At CPI USA, Inc. we are here to help you deal with any issues that might occur. As long as you meet the terms and conditions that are stated in our return policy you will
most likely be able to make an exchange or return a product. Please note that not all items are covered by our returns policy and we reserve the right to change this policy at any time.

Special Exceptions

We DO NOT GUARANTEE ANY PRODUCT COMPATIBILITY and take no responsibility for the installation of the product and incorrect operation of your system. We will not be liable for any system, component, or peripheral including, but not limited to, mechanical or electronic damage, lost time, lost wage, lost revenue, or any other damage arising out of the use of, or inability to use our products.

Restocking Fee

There is a restocking fee of 20% on all returns for refund, unless waived by one of our Customer Support Reps. We are willing to repair/replace a defective item. If a refund is requested instead of a replacement we will charge a 20% restocking fee. Why? Claiming, "defect" is the easy way out of a restocking fee just because the item is no longer wanted. If it’s defective we will repair/replace it.

Unauthorized Returns

Unauthorized returns will be refused immediately upon arrival, and the customer will be charged for the return shipping cost.

Warranty Policy and Service

In all cases, you must have a RMA number. If CPI USA is the warranty provider, you must obtain a RMA number from us. If a manufacturer or third party is responsible, you must obtain a RMA number from them. Please see the Manufacturer Warranty Section for full details.

Unless otherwise noted, warranty terms apply only to merchandise shipped within the USA. Merchandise forwarded to other international locations may not be covered under the warranty. Please check with the manufacturer or warranty provider prior to purchase.

CPI USA offers warranty for replacement or refund as specified on the product page. All New Retail/New products carry manufacturer warranty except products, which are End-Of Life/ Discontinued/Obsolete.

All products, except for CPU, memory, and non-refundable items are warranted for replacement or refund for 90 days from the invoice date. CPU, memory is warranted only for replacement or refund for 30 days from the invoice date. 20% restocking fee applies to all returns for refund. All Shipping Costs are Non Refundable and buyer pays all shipping for replacement parts.

Due to manufacturer policies, all packaged items with plastic clamshells, shrink-wrap, special seals, or other types of packaging that sustains damage when opened are NON-RETURNABLE if the packaging has been OPENED.

Please note that any physical damage to any product will VOID the product’s warranty. Modifying a product in a permanent way is considered physically damaged. CPI USA will not honor warranty the product has sustained any type of physical damage or Modification. We highly recommend carefully reading the manufacturer’s instructions before installing your product.

Return Authorization (RA) Information

  • Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable.
  • All exchanges and/or returns are subject to approval. Although we would like to accommodate everyone, there are certain items that are not returnable, such as: ipods, software, hard-drives, and accessories just to name a few. Please contact one of our account executives if you should have any questions.
  • All exchanges and returns require a RA (return authorization) number. Send an Email to: Returns@cpiusastore.com to start your Returns Process.
  • An RA (return authorization) number must be requested within 7 days of receipt of the merchandise.
  • After 7 days please contact the manufacturer directly.
  • The return package must be received within 10 business days of the RMA issue date.
  • All items must be returned in "as new" condition in the original packaging and have all accessories, blank warranty cards, and user's manual.
  • 1-7 days: Customer is responsible for paying a mandatory 20% restocking fee, and is also responsible for paying all shipping and handling charges for both ways.

Software Products

  • Software cannot be returned.

Open Box

  • Open box items are not eligible for return unless specified otherwise.

Defective Products

  • Please refer to the manufacturer’s warranty agreement after the 7th day of receiving your equipment.
  • If you think that your merchandise is defective please call the manufacturer first before calling CPI USA.
  • Defective products are only exchanged and no refunds are authorized.
  • CPI USA will verify serial numbers and claimed defects prior to shipment of replacement unit. Once item is received, checked and approved, a replacement item will be shipped out depending on the availability
  • Item or items not found to be defective: Minimum 1 hour labor at $75.00/hr. We at CPI USA do our best to ship items that are free from defect. Since we receive merchandise directly from the manufacturer we may not know when an item is defective. Within the first week we will exchange the product for you at no additional cost. After the one-week grace period we will be happy to assist you in getting the problem resolved or you are welcome contact the manufacture directly.
  • Missing or abused items will result in item not being replaced.

Special Orders

Special orders means items new and End of Life that we do not have in stock, and order them specifically for the customer after an order is placed by the customer by a purchase order or prepaid. Special ordered item(s) cannot be returned or cancelled at any circumstance after the order has been placed.

RMA for credit

Refunds will be issued after verification of item/items received, checked and approved less any applicable fees. All refunds will be assessed a 20% restocking fee, except under extenuating circumstances. Please allow 1-2 weeks for a credit to be issued back to your credit card. If you paid your order by check or money order, we will issue a check for the refund amount. CPI USA does offer in-store credit, which will be issued to your account.

Cross Shipment

Replacement items can be cross-shipped for defective items. Replacement items will be charged at the time of shipment. Once we receive that defective item at our location and have confirmed the validity of the return, we will then credit the charge made to your account.


CPI USA does accept exchanges for defective only items. If you receive an item that is inoperable or defective you can request an exchange for another item. Once we receive the defective item then we will send out the other replacement item. If there is a price difference we will either credit or charge the amount to your account.

CPI USA attempts to be as accurate as possible in our content and pricing; however, we cannot guarantee that product descriptions/specifications, pricing or any other content on the site is accurate, complete, or current. In the event that a product is listed at an incorrect price due to typographical, informational, technical or other error, CPI USA shall have the right to refuse or cancel any order for that product.

  • Contact our customer service department at 732-494-0007 between the hours of 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, EST. Monday Through Friday or generate a request via email to: Returns@cpiusastore.com. All requests are processed the next business day.

What should be done after the RMA is issued?

  • Attach the RMA number on the package, next to the return address.
  • Return the complete package (include copy of invoice) to:

We recommend that you insure the package you are returning. In the event the package is lost or damaged in transit. We suggest that you use a credible carrier that can provide you with “proof of delivery.” CPI USA shall not be responsible for items returned that are lost or damaged in transit. Shipping and handling charges, to our warehouse will be paid by you, the customer, and is non-refundable. CPI USA will ship the replacement item back to you via the same method that the item was sent to us.
